When you first run the program you should have your microphone, and speakers or headphones, connected and go through the setup steps outlined at the beginning and adjust your gain and pc audio settings as necessary. Only two of these extra options need to be set:ĭefault Channel: CW Net (type exactly as shown) Click that to open up the remaining options. In the lower left corner you may see a button. This is what appears in the list of users when you are connected. (Recommend you use your call sign-name for your “userid” since that will be simpler for others to identify, and keeps it short. Set up Bookmark: Bookmark, Manage Bookmarks or Add Bookmarks windowīookmark: (Use a Label of your choosing to identify the bookmark)Īddress: (This is the server address assigned for the VWS CW net and BOD activities) The microphone and speaker, or headphones, are required. Of course, the VWS Board of Directors meeting is simply an audio conversation and does not require the CW key. The only thing different between the two bookmarks is the Default Channel login see below.
Set up a separate Bookmark for each as desired. This program is used for both the VWS CW NET, and the VWS Board of Directors meetings.
The installation is very straightforward, just follow the basic software installation instructions. You may also check out the quick start guide at Select the client software appropriate for your computer.
The TEAMSPEAK Client software is free and can be downloaded from
I don't have any external mic so i can't try if with it works. If selected "Built in line input" the "blue led" lights up (with push to talk, continuos streaming, etc). Section Capture: clicking on TEST VOICE the "blue led" next to the button won't light up if selected "Built-in Microphone". Magically (clicking around!!!) it started working again after some time (1 hour). I friend of mine with the same HW&SW configuration installed some time ago (1-2 month) TS3 and worked "fine" (crashing often TBH) until today when he updated to beta25 and, as soon as he changed "advanced option", in capture pane the MIC stopped working. OS x Sound Preferences detect my mic, input sound and the volume as well. Nothing changed.ĮVERY other software like steam, ichat, ventrilo, etc works fine. Then I tried also old versions (beta 20,21,22,23) downloaded from: Ī tried also to delete the hidden preference (.ts3client/) directory in my home folder before each "re-install". I tried everything: changing to Core Audio both (and one at time) Capture and Playback, changing all kind of option like push-to-talk, voice activation, etc. TS3 has never detect any sound from my Mic (iMac built-in mic).
I tried to install the last build (beta 25) today on my Imac 27 early 2010 ( OS X 10.6.4 ). Last edited by Perianah June 12th, 2010 at 02:19 PM. I have no idea what the problem really was, but I am so happy that it is working again. I reinstalled TS3 with the latest build and now it is working again. After that I deinstalled TS3 and cleaned everything up with Onyx and I also repaired the files permissions. I tried it with a different headset from my friend (Speedlink Medusa 5.1 USB) and it was the same problem. However the internal microphone still works fine, this is only the case with the microphone of my headset.ītw, the other builds (until beta20) were working with fine with this headset the last few month, so it has to be a problem with the last two updates. This wasn't the case with former client versions. I also have to put the volume control for the voice activation nearly completely to the left to activate the microphone. Even if I turn up the mic volume to the max in the system settings and also my volume of the headset speakers, I just can hear my voice very low with a lot of hissing. I can select my USB soundcard (USB Headset Plantronics Gamescom 777 used with an iMac 27" I7) in the TS3 preferences with your solution but unfortunately my mic is so low, that nobody can hear me. I can hear all others but they can't hear me.
I have the same problem since the last update but your solution doesn't help me completely.
